operating systems tend to slow down over time. Programs get
loaded that are not intended to be loaded or are no longer needed.
These programs even if they are deleted often leave behind data
in various places on the machine that slow it down and may even
be running every time the PC is running. Each program taking
power away from the PC. Each of the extra programs or partially
deleted programs also provide opportunities for Windows©
to experience problems such as lock-ups, shut-downs, freezes,
crashes, errors in programs, shutdown not working, etc.
Various techniques can be use to bring the PC close to the
way it was when it was new. However it is never really all there
and on especially heavily burdened PCs the slow down can still

the disks and reloading Windows©

PC Cleaning - for faster and longer lasting
PCs.
The processor (pentium©) in PCs will start working poorly
when it gets too hot. It can even fail all together. A visual
impression of the importance manufacturers put on this heat
build up can be had by looking inside the computer. The largest
item on the main board of the computer is the heat sink (device
to cool the processor) a massive amounts of metal with its own
cooling fan. (Computers prior to the pentium© II work without a fan.)
Dust caught on the metal, on the fan, in the workings of the
fan and otherwise blocking the heat sink work as a blanket keeping
the processor warm. Removing the dust by judicious suction and
blowing with clean air lets the heat sink work and keep the
processor cool and working properly.
So keeping the processor cool allows it to run better can keeping
it cooler make it run faster. In fact some hobbyist use super
heat sinks to allow them to run their PCs at a faster speed.
They can perhaps speed a 1.1 GHz processor to run at 1.2 GHz.
However this requires changing some settings on the main board.
Is this worth the effort? For some people it is. But because
this is running beyond the specifications of the processor and

Wireless Network Installation -
